Worship is the heart of who we are as a congregation at Wingate Baptist Church. We worship through music, Scripture reading, prayer, offerings, a pastoral message, and regular communion. All are welcome to encounter God in worship alongside of us on Sunday mornings at 10:30.

Worship at Wingate Baptist Church is traditional in style – hymns led by a choir and accompanied by a piano or organ.  We include both Old Testament and New Testament readings related to the topic of the morning sermon.  Our services are guided by the church year, and most weeks we follow the Revised Common Lectionary to select our Scripture readings. Prayers are led by clergy and laity, children and adults.  Most services are about an hour in length.

All are invited to participate in our worship services, but extended care is provided as an option for children Kindergarten and younger. Children’s worship bags are available in the foyer outside of the sanctuary. These bags are full of quiet activities that children can engage in during the service.

We encourage you to dress however you are comfortable for church.  Most men dress in styles that range from business casual to traditional business.  Most women wear dresses or dressy pants and tops.  However you choose to come, you will be welcomed at Wingate Baptist Church.
