2021 Music Camp

Join us this summer as we learn and then perform the musical, Holy Moses!  Playing on the tv series Trading Spaces, a home renovation show, Holy Moses! explores the story of Moses through the cast of “Trading Places.” Children will learn about God’s redemptive work as they laugh, sing, and work together to put on this play!

What is Music Camp?

Music Camp is an opportunity for children to learn an entire musical based on a Biblical story in just one week!  Children learn the musical and grow in their faith through singing, acting, crafts, games, and more. 

 Who can attend?

Music Camp is for children who completed Kindergarten-5th grade in the 2020-2021 school year.  Registration is limited to 30 students.

When is it?

Music Camp will be Monday-Friday, July 12-16, 2021, from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. On Friday, July 16, campers can stay at the church until the 7:00 PM performance.  All campers, family members, and guests attending the performance are invited to the Wingate Baptist Church Fellowship Hall for dinner at 6:00 on Friday evening. Campers can be dropped off as early as 8:45 AM.  At this point, it is expected that we will be conducting temperature checks each morning, and all participants will be expected to wear a mask.

Where is it?

All activities will take place at Wingate Baptist Church, located at 109 E. Elm Street, Wingate, NC 28174.

What is the cost?

The cost is $75 per student.  This cost includes a camp t-shirt, all supplies for camp, snacks and lunch each day, and dinner on Friday evening.  Campers will also receive a cd of the musical in advance to begin to get familiar with the musical before camp begins. There are a limited number of scholarships available to cover some or all of the cost of camp. Please contact the camp director if you would like to request financial assistance. Camp costs can be paid with a check and mailed to the church (PO Box 339, Wingate, NC 28174), or you can stop by the church office during office hours (109 E. Elm Street) to pay in cash or with check. 

How do I register?

Click here to access the Google Form to register.  You can register up to 5 campers on one form.  If you need to register additional campers, you will need to start a new form.  Upon receiving your registration form, the camp director will contact you to confirm your registration. There is a place on the registration form to indicate if your camper(s) would like to audition for a speaking and/or singing part. If your camper(s) would like to audition for a special part, you will be contacted before camp to schedule a brief audition. Registration will close when we reach capacity or by May 31.
