In an effort to protect the most vulnerable among us and to help limit the spread of the Corona virus (COVID-19) we have chosen to suspend all church activities, events, and meetings until further notice. We will be live-streaming our worship service to Facebook and our website (wingatebaptist.org) for the next two Sundays (March 22 and March 29). The live stream will begin at 10:30 am. We encourage you to join us for worship virtually. If you are feeling up to it, we also encourage you to get together with a few other people to watch the live stream together.
Remember to check in with our church Facebook page this week. We will be posting information, encouragement, and activities to participate in during the week. This Sunday during worship you will have the opportunity to share prayer requests during the live stream, so be mindful of how we can be in prayer for one another.
Just because we can't gather together in the same place doesn't mean that we have stopped being the church. So let's join together in caring for one another. Call to check in on one another, pray for one another, and remember that simple acts of kindness go a long way. Your church staff is also here to help. Please contact the church office and let us know how we can be a help to you and your loved ones. Let's let this be an opportunity for us to think more creatively about how to be church for one another.
We understand times like these can create financial strains; however, during this time the church continues to have financial needs. We encourage you to continue sending in your offering as you are able.
During the season of Lent we are reminded that we came from dust and to dust we will return, but we are also reminded of the hope that Easter brings. So let's lean into grace and hope this week.
Grace and Peace,
